Elena G. De Perez

Elena García De Pérez passed away peacefully on January 29, 2023. Born in San Francisco del Oro, Chihuahua, México. She had been a resident of El Paso, Texas, since 1957.

Elena was a successful businesswoman in El Paso and Ciudad Juárez. Elena had a big heart, a great sense of humor, and was deeply loved by her family.  She will always be remembered for her uplifting personality, beautiful singing, and charming sense of humor. Elena was a force of life who was extremely intelligent, business savvy, generous, and always kind to others.  She was an incredible human being and a true role model for her family.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dunstano Pérez whom she married in 1950 and her daughter, Olga.

She is survived by her beloved daughters Dr. Leticia Pérez, Dr. Dora Pérez, her son Dunstano Pérez, and her grandsons Ivan Pérez, Victor Alarcón, and Conrad Andrade. She also is survived by numerous siblings, nieces, and nephews whom she adored.

We extended our appreciation to the AM Health Care Hospice of El Paso team and our heartfelt thanks to caregivers Marta, Eleanor Copland, Caro, Juanita, Isabella, Victor, Joshua, Erika Castillo, Doreen, and Erika Torres for their care and support of our dear mother.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler Dr., El Paso, TX 79912 with a Rosary to commence at 6:00 pm and a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Luke Catholic Church. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 11:30 am at Memorial Pines Cemetery, at 3061 Memorial Pines Lane, Sunland Park, NM 88063.
