Elena A. Romo

Elena A. Romo, born September 17, 1916 in Aguascalientes, Ags. Mexico, passed on to her eternal life on Friday, May 25, 2007 at the age of 90. She was a resident of El Paso most of her adult life, and retired from the Popular Dry Goods Department Store. Mrs. Romo was preceded in death by: father, Jesus Paulino Romo; mother, Maria del Refugio Arellano; sisters: Hermelinda Acosta, Maria Luisa Pavia, Esperanza Ortega, and Maria del Refugio; brothers: Jesus Romo and Manuel Romo; niece, Maria Elena Ortega Davis; and nephew Victor Manuel Ortega. She is survived by: nieces; Carmen Tassio and family; Olga Emerick and family; Socorro Acosta and family; and nephew Eduardo Acosta and family from California. In El Paso she is survived by her nephews: George L. Ortega Sr., wife Rosario, and family; Arthur Ortega, wife Diane, and family; and niece Dolores Ortega and family. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am Tuesday June 5, 2007 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
