Elinor E. Morgas

Elinor E. Morgas passed away on July 5, 2015 at the age of 81. Mr. Morgas was born on November 7th, 1933 in Taos, New Mexico. He served in the United States Army, retired from the United States Navy and worked in the civil service for 37 years. Mr. Morgas also co-owned Ernie’s Muffler and Brakes- East for 20 years. Mr. Morgas is preceded in death by his parents Jose and Sara Morgas, his daughter Sara Morgas and his sister Isabel Medina. He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Modesta Meraz; his former wife of 44 Years and the mother of his children, Connie Morgas; his sons, Ernie Morgas, Danny Morgas and Sam Morgas; daughter, Julie Morgas Baca and step daughter, Jackie Lebell; brothers, Manuel Morgas, Mariano Morgas, Toby Morgas, Albert Morgas and Vidal Morgas and sisters, Gloria Vigil, Celia Voss and Beatrice Silva. Mr. Morgas also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6:00- 9:00 PM, with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Hone Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. El Paso, Texas 79904. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 9025 Diana Dr. Committal service to follow at 11:00 am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. The family of Mr. Morgas would like to thank Dr. Ramsey Hazboun for his special care and utmost attention, as well as the staff at Hospice of El Paso.
