ELIZABETH CURTIS LEFLER passed away on February 24, 2015 at the age of 101. She was born in El Paso, Texas, January 26, 1914. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver and her presence will be greatly missed. Mrs. Lefler was a graduate of Austin High School and retired as a measurment clerk from El Paso Natural Gas Company. She was a longtime Baprtist and member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Spencer O. Curtis and (Ret) Captain Jewel C. Lefler, daughter Joyce E. Nickels, sisters Felicie Bartholmew, Agatha Lee, brothers Able Boudreaux and Emil Boudreaux. She is survived by her daughters Joan E. Browne, husband Charlie Browne, Janis E. Thompson, husband John Thompson, son Jefferey Lefler, her sister Ella Mayo, grandchildren David Browne, Curtis Browne, Bruce Browne, Lisa Hicks, Lori Prouse, Jennifer Metternich, Kristin Kuhn, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-greatgrandchildren and her beloved caretaker Socorro Medrano. Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church (Ford Chapel), 805 Montana.Officiating are pastors Dr. David Lowrie and Dr. Bob Nickell.
