Elizabeth Ann Perdue

March 21, 1949 — August 1, 2025

Elizabeth Ann Perdue, age 76, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 1, 2025. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, veteran, and friend, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father, Lonnie Landers; her brother, Roy Landers; and her sister, Mary Evelyn.\She proudly served in the United States Air Force and was honored to be one of the first Women of the Air Force (WAFs) stationed on the island of Guam during the Vietnam era. A trailblazer in her time, Elizabeth carried immense pride in her service and never hesitated to share her story as a woman veteran. Her courage, patriotism, and strength of character were evident in everything she did. Elizabeth was also a woman of deep and unwavering faith. She lived with a quiet confidence in God's promises and was a true example of grace and kindness. Her family takes great comfort in knowing she was secure in her relationship with the Lord and at peace with where she was going. She faced life’s challenges with resilience, always believing in the power of prayer and God’s plan. One of the scriptures that reflects her spirit is:

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."— 2 Timothy 4:7

She was married to the love of her life, Bryan Lee Perdue, for 54 beautiful years. Their bond was one of deep commitment, laughter, and enduring love a partnership that weathered the ups and downs of life together. Together they built a strong and loving family that was the center of Elizabeth’s world.Throughout their life together, Elizabeth and Bryan traveled the world, embracing each adventure side by side. Of all the places they lived and visited, Japan held a special place in her heart. She cherished the culture, beauty, and people, and often spoke of her time there with great fondness and gratitude. She is survived by her loving husband, Bryan Lee Perdue; her mother, Evelyn Landers; her children, Bryan Lee Perdue Jr. (Angela) and Jennifer Leigh Binford (Caleb); her grandchildren, Jake Allen, Caden Binford, Elissa Binford, Savanah Perdue, Braden Perdue, Morgan Perdue, and Dylan Perdue; and her great-grandchildren, Gunner Truelove and Cason.

Elizabeth had a heart that welcomed everyone. She was steady, sincere, and always present for the people she loved. Her humor was quiet and often unintentional — the kind that caught you off guard and left you laughing long after. She wasn’t one for quick comebacks, but she had a way of making everyone feel safe, accepted, and loved just as they were. She enjoyed the simple things: a good book, a quiet morning with coffee, and time with her family. Her legacy lives on in the kindness she showed, the faith she carried, and the warmth she gave so freely.
