Elodia C. Saucedo “Mamá Yoyito”

Elodia C. Saucedo “Mamá Yoyito” passed away on November 1, 2026, in El Paso, Texas, at the age of 89. Born on June 12, 1937, she lived a long life marked by devotion to family and enduring love for those closest to her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose Benito Saucedo. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Luis Corral and Maria Corral, and by her siblings Manuel Corral, Ismael Corral, Isabel Corral, and Elvira Corral. Their memories remained part of the family story she carried throughout her life.

Elodia leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor her memory with gratitude and affection. She is survived by her son, Jose Benito Saucedo Jr., daughters, Ana Laura Sandoval, Noemy Vinalay, Marisela Saucedo, and Erasema Aurora Saucedo, whose lives stand as part of her lasting legacy. She is also survived by her dearest 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchldren, sisters, Elena Galindo, Ana Maria Herrera, Guadalupe Corral, Adela Morales, and Graciela Dominguez. In their love for her, and in the bonds they shared over the years, her presence will continue to be deeply felt and tenderly remembered.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Elodia during visitation on Monday, November 9, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Homes - Americas, 9521 North Loop, El Paso, Texas 79907. A Rosary will be held the same evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 9205 North Loop Dr., El Paso, Texas 79907. A Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, followed by a graveside service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Evergreen East Cemetery, 12400 Montana Ave., El Paso, Texas 79938.
