Emma Cerros Melendez, 82, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016. Emma was a native El Pasoan born on April 1, 1934. God has smiled and taken her into Heaven to be with our beloved sister Virgil. Our Mother was a life loving, hard working lady that always gave her best at everything she did. Our Mom lived a simple life and never asked for anything, she never took the easy way out she was a strong willed woman that would take the bull by the horns. She always had a good time at the Casinos and was giving when she won. She was a loving Mother and Grandma and will be missed dearly. She leaves behind daughters; Emma Marquez, Hilda Hernandez, Carolina Harding & Monica Hallak. Sons; Salvador and Jose R. Melendez; daughter-in law Marisela Melendez; Grandchildren, Jennifer, Paul and Reina Marquez, George Jr. & Austin Chavez, Dante and Aaliyah Hallak, Michellee Childress, Manny & Sonny Hernandez & Alexis Melendez. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast 5-9pm. Vigil/Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held Friday 15 Apr 2016 at 10 AM at St. Mark Catholic Church.
