Ercilia Ramirez Short

In Loving Memory of Ercilia Ramirez Short, age 65, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. 

Ercilia was a beloved wife, mother, and daughter. She was a beacon of love and kindness whose warmth touched the lives of everyone she met.

 Born on December 18th, 1959, Ercilia grew up in South Texas. Her life then took her to Odessa and finally, El Paso, where she built a beautiful life with her family for the last 25 years. She was a devoted wife to Clayton of 38 years, and a nurturing mother to Daniel (Tania), Chris (Lilly), and Brandon. She was the absolute best Grandmother “Nana” ever to Alex, Maya, and Willow.

Ercilia is preceded in death by her father, Alejandro Ramirez. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory.

Ercilia had a passion for the goodwill of others. She was known for her generosity, sense of humor, and compassion and as a cherished friend to many. Her home was always open, and she welcomed everyone with open arms and a loving heart.

Her legacy of love and kindness will live on through her family and friends. She leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration.

Rest in peace, dear Ercilia. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

 A Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Homes-West, with a Celebration of Ercilia's Life to commence at 2:00 pm.
