Every man must die. Some men never live. Oh how Eric did live. He fought an over 30-year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. A lifelong El Pasoan he was a champion quarter miler in track at Austin High School. He attended Vanderbilt University and graduated from Texas Western. He was a college member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He founded Kistenmacher and Company, a many year successful real estate management company. He was an active Rotarian and had a tremendous sense of humor.
He was actively involved many years on the Sun Bowl Host Basketball Committee. Eric was an enthusiastic participant in the Friday Lunch Bunch and the Birthday Bunch. He was a car enthusiast having mustangs, corvettes and porsches. He was previously married to Susan and outlived wives Linda and Michelle. Eric had great renown as a bartender, making a mean Old Fashioned. He was a great husband, dad and friend and will be missed greatly.
He is survived by his loving wife Diane, his sister Karen Russell, his stepchildren Tyler (Natalie) Smith, Trent (Claire) Arnold, Jessica (Shane) Akeroyd, and Heather (Ron) Gamblin, and many grandchildren. His life will be remembered and celebrated at St. Clements on Friday, May 29, 2026 at 12:30pm
His Graveside Service will follow at 2:30pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Parkinson's Foundation and the Animal Rescue League of El Paso.
