Erika Araceli Soto

Erika Araceli Soto, age 43, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones on the morning of September 24, 2026. Born on October 6, 1982, in El Paso, Texas, Erika was a true light in the lives of everyone who knew her.

Erika attended and was a graduate of Burgess High School. Throughout her life, she brought immense joy to those around her through her vibrant spirit and many passions. She loved to dance, listen to music, color, and paint rocks, and she proudly participated in the Special Olympics, winning Gold and Silver medals in different events. Above all, Erika treasured simply being around the people she loved.

Truly an angel sent to this world, Erika lived with a fulfilled mission of showing unconditional love to everyone she met. She lit up every room she entered, brought pure joy to others, and was known for her bright, constant smile. Her thumbprint remains gently left on the heart of every single person she met.

Erika is survived by her loving family, including her parents, Martha A. Zamora, Danny T. Zamora, and Enrique Soto Jr.; her siblings, Christopher J. Zamora, Tanya Young, and Joel E. Soto; and her grandparents, Javier Zamora, Asun Bedialauneta, Soledad Soto, and Enrique Soto Sr. She is also survived by many loving aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Irma Martin.
