Ernestina “Tina” Aguilera, 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Tina was a beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, and “Granny” whose love and presence touched generations of her family. She is survived by her children, Isabel Aguilera and Ernesto Aguilera, as well as her nieces and daughters by heart, Olga Strange and Graciela Townsend, along with nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Tina was the last surviving member of her family of brothers and sisters. With her passing, she joins all her siblings who went before her, including her beloved twin sister. She was also preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Ernesto Vasquez.
Tina spent most of her working life as a waitress, where she took great pride in caring for her customers and providing excellent service. Her attentive nature made her a favorite among many, and customers would often request to be seated in her section. She worked hard throughout her life and will be remembered by many for the care she showed to those she served.
Tina was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and loved listening to Elvis Presley and Pedro Infante. She enjoyed the simple things in life, especially her coffee and cookies—and, of course, her Coke.
We were blessed to have Tina with us for 89 years, but no amount of time could ever have been enough. We will miss her silly faces, her blessings, her laughter, and yes, even her grumpiness.
Rest in peace, Tina. You will be missed beyond measure. We will carry your love, your laughter, and your memory with us always.
We love you forever—Mom, Tía, Grandma, and Granny. Until we meet again.
