Esperanza Tellez

Esperanza Tellez, 92, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend was called to her eternal resting place on December 2, 2017. She entered this world on December 26, 1924 in Anthony, TX, born to Leonardo and Luisa Minjarez. She retired from the El Paso Electric Company after 25 years of service and was a devoted member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church Community. She is preceded in death by her husband Andres Tellez, her siblings; Raymundo, Juan, Abel, Arturo and Lala Minjarez. She is survived by her daughters; Irene Holguin and her late husband Rudy Holguin, Patsy Putney, Bonnie Sloan and her husband Robert Sloan, Sylvia Fowler and her husband Bobby Fowler, Mary Lou Garces and her husband Arturo Garces Sr., her sister Lilia Ramos, her beloved grandchildren; Chris Holguin (Bertha), Jason Reese, Brandon Reese, Iris Massimini (Carlo), Stephen Sloan ( Megan), Megan Wallace, Arturo Garces Jr. (Janelle), Ray Garces, Martin Garces (Luisa & Ethan), great-grandchildren; Christanie Holguin, Andrew Holguin, Jason Reese Jr., Hailey Reese, Ella Jo Massimini, Carlo Massimini II, Andrew Sloan, Olivia Sloan, Ray Garces Jr., Lily Garces and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 9:00AM to 10:00AM, with Holy Rosary at 10:00AM and Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 224 Lincoln St. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and son-in-laws; Chris Holguin, Arturo Garces Jr., Stephen Sloan, Ray Garces Sr., Martin Garces, Robert Sloan, Arturo Garces Sr. and Bobby Fowler.
