Esther B. Mallon

Esther Burciaga Mallon was born January 4, 1921 in El Paso and passed away on Wednesday December 9, 2015 in El Paso. Esther was the wife of the late Dr. Leon Mallon. She is survived by her sons Willie F. Terrazas (Rose Mary), Henry C. Mallon (Jane), David L. Mallon; daughter Vivian Brewer ( † Ralph); brother Rodolfo Burciaga (Phyllis) and sisters Cruz Brooks, Connie Lombraña and Martha Najar. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Toribio Burciaga, Roberto Burciaga and sister Cuca Rios. Esther worked for many years at several grocery stores as a cashier, taught classes in candy-making and wrote a cook-book, Dona Cuca Burrito Recipes. She loved all kinds of music singing and dancing. Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 9:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home-East. Funeral Service: 9:00am on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home-East. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
