My Lord Jesus Christ and the Angels above are so lucky as they have received a great man to join them in Heaven. Born in Albertville, Alabama April, 3, 1931, Eulice Lee Buchanan was loved by everyone. He was a strong man who always had Christ in his heart and helped everyone. He served in the US Army and is a Korean War Veteran. He also served the citizens of El Paso as an El Paso police officer for 22 years where he retired at the rank of Detective. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Leoanza and Gertrude Buchanan as well as his brother Paul Buchanan and sister, Ruby Jo Springfield. He is survived by his wife Bertha Buchanan, 4 children Yvonne Buchanan, Mary Ann Smith, Barbara Kebschull, and Robert Buchanan. He also has 13 grandchildren; Leslie Buchanan, Joe Buchanan, Jack Worthington, Timothy Galaviz, Jacob Worthington, Robert Galaviz, Gregory Worthington, Thomas Smith, Leah Smith, Matthew Worthington, Jordan Buchanan, Justin Kebschull, and Johnny Buchanan; 7 great-grandchildren; Jazmine Buchanan, Ireland Buchanan, Denise Galaviz, Cody Buchanan, Gesel Worthington, Jerrid Galaviz, and Julian Smith. Visitation will be from 10:00AM -12:30PM Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Committal Service will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors and El Paso Police Department Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
