With hearts full of love and deep sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved matriarch, Eva “Emma” Saucedo—known to all simply and lovingly as Mama—who entered eternal rest on October 10, 2025, at the incredible age of 102.
Eva was born on July 12, 1923, in Pueblo, Colorado, to Alejandro and Francisca Ramos. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ignacio “Max” Saucedo, and her sons Arturo, Ignacio, Carlos, and Alberto Saucedo.
Mama’s memory lives on through her daughters Irma Rodriguez, Eva Torres, and Aurora Yáñez; her son Ernest Saucedo; her 21 adoring grandchildren; and her 41 great-grandchildren, all of whom adored her deeply.
To us, she wasn’t just our mother or grandmother—she was Mama. She was the heart of our family, the soft place to land, and the one who made everything feel like home. Her doors were always open, her arms always ready for a hug. She had a beautiful way of making everyone feel welcome and seen.
Whenever someone was beginning a new chapter in life, Mama was there—quietly and lovingly making sure they had everything they needed. Whether it was a table to gather around, dishes to fill a kitchen, or simply her comforting words and gentle encouragement, she gave from the heart, without ever needing to be asked. Her kindness flowed effortlessly, and her love was felt in every thoughtful gesture. Her heart knew no limits, and her generosity left a lasting imprint on everyone blessed to know her.
We’ll forever cherish the memories of sitting with her around the kitchen table, laughing, sipping coffee, listening to music, or hearing her witty remarks that made even the hardest days lighter. She loved deeply, gave freely, and brought joy wherever she went—whether she was out shopping or simply sharing a quiet moment with family.
Mama was our anchor, our comfort, and our joy. She was our Mama. Our grand Mama. And we loved her so much.
As we say goodbye, we hold tight to her love, which will live on in all of us—forever in our hearts, and always at our table.
Rest peacefully, Mama. Thank you for a lifetime of love. We will miss you so much.
A very special thank you to her daughter Irma, who lovingly cared for our Mama with an open heart, endless patience, and unwavering kindness. Your devotion and care brought her comfort, dignity, and peace throughout the years and especially in her final days. We are forever grateful.
