Evangelina Aleman

Evangelina Aleman, 88, was called home to our Lord on Friday, March 25, 2022. 

Evangelina who was from El Paso Tx was born on February 17th, 1934. She came to the United States in the ‘50s to begin her career and would later marry and start a family. Evangelina worked at the Farah Slacks factory for 15 years then moved on to her career as a housewife and mother. She was an incredible seamstress and would make beautiful clothes as part of her living, and would also make clothes for her daughters and later her granddaughters. After her retirement, she found joy in spending her days cleaning and cooking for those close to her. She was a great cook and an excellent homemaker. Evangelina loved to “encourage" those around her to help with dusting and small household chores. She loved spending time with her family, helping care for her grandchildren while watching them (and eventually their children) grow.  

Evangelina is preceded in death by her Grandson, Charles “Jojo” Robles Jr. and Son-in-law Carlos Saucedo. She is survived by her Husband; Jose Socorro Aleman from El Paso TX, two Daughters; Corina Saucedo and Marina Robles, Son-in-law; Charles J Robles Sr., four Grandchildren; Carlos Saucedo, Marisela Andrea Robles, Adriana Salcido, and Rosa Maria Robles, eight Great Grandchildren; Estrella Saucedo, Sandra Saucedo, Carlos Saucedo, Carlos Angel Saucedo, Marisabel Lira, Aubrey Salcido, Christiana Salcido and Joshua Salcido, three Siblings; Ausencia Carmona Loya, Maria Elena Sanchez and Efren Carmona.  

A viewing will be held Friday, April 8th at 11:00 A.M. at Sunset Funeral Home, 4631 Hondo Pass Dr, El Paso TX 79904 followed by a funeral mass at 12:30 P.M. at Blessed Sacrament - 9025 Diana Dr. Burial to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery 401 Zaragoza Rd, El Paso TX 79907. Friends, family and acquaintances are invited to a Celebration of life that will follow at VFW Post 812 at McKelligon Canyon, 2400 Davis-Seaman Rd, El Paso TX 79930.
