Mrs. Faustina Chavana was called home by our Lord to join her husband of 56 years, Ramon Chavana Sr. and eldest son Ramon Chavana Jr. Mrs. Chavana passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side December 10, 2015, she was 86 years old. A lifelong resident of El Paso, Faustina worked for the Ysleta Independent School District until her retirement. She had a passion for drawing and painting, a creative mind and was a genius in the kitchen. A dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, Faustina is survived by her sons: Ricardo (Patricia) and Robert (Samantha); daughters: Rosy Butler, Rebecca (Robert) Ceniceros, Rosario Beltran, Rachel Flores, Ruby (William) Joseph, Ramona (Dan) Harbison, Ruth (Eddie) Juarez, Rita Vega; 26 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be: Ramon Chavana IV, Samuel Sanchez, Joaquin Chavana, Alfredo Ramirez, Jesus Beltran, Eduardo Guerrero, Timothy Chavana and Jonathan
Vega. Honorary Pallbearers: Ricardo Chavana and Robert Chavana. A special thank you to Honor Personal Home Care and Choice Hospice of Texas for all your help and support through these trying times. Visitation will be from 4:00-9:00 p.m., with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 14 th, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home – East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 15 th, 2015 at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church, 503 Hunter Dr. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
