Felipe De Jesus Araiza

Felipe "Catutis" Araiza, 83, founder and long time member of "Club Depotivo El Retiro" passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 23, 2016. He was born in El Paso, Texas on February 5, 1933. He was preceded in death by his wife; Lidia, son; Javier and daughter; Silvia Ortiz. He is survived by his daughters; Teresa Segura, Sandra Hernandez, Lorie Araiza, Rosalba Galvan, 18 Grandchildren, numerous Great Grandchildren , Great-Great Grandchildren and hundreds of baseball colleagues. He will always be remembered for his humble, loving and caring heart towards every person that came into contact with him. His entire life revolved around the sport of "baseball." He lived his life with a passion rarely seen in other people. You will always live in our hearts and in our souls. We love you Grandpa Chuy. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr. with Prayer service at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas.
