Fernando Aguilera Sr., 92, passed away on Saturday June 3, 2017. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 30, 1925 and lived most of his life in El Paso, Texas. A United States Army World War II Veteran, Fernando worked for the El Paso Electric Company for 35 years and retired in 1989. He is preceded in death by his parents Eusebio and Guadalupe Aguilera, Brothers Ernesto, Richard, Jesus and Ralph, sisters Carmela and Hortencia and Sons Richard, Fernando Jr. and Antonio. He leaves behind his wife of forty-two years Soledad Aguilera, sons; Raul, Juan, Ignacio and wife Angelica, Arthur and wife Germaine, Edward Rene and wife Maria, and Robert and wife Sandra Aguilera, and daughters, Susana Aguilera, Guadalupe and husband Jimmie Mowery, and Leticia and husband Hector Hoyos, Antonia Fo and Daughter-in-Law Martha Aguilera; Sisters; Lourdes, Ofelia, Victoria and Dolores and Brother; Eduardo; Twenty-two Grandchildren and eleven Great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home-East. Funeral Mass will begin at 12:30pm on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Santo Niño de Atocha Catholic Church. Committal Service will follow at 2:00pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors.
