Florence “Flora” Ledesma, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother was called to heaven on November 11, 2025. She left us peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, in the comfort of her home.
She was born in San Elizario, Texas on November 27, 1933. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Enrique Henry Ledesma Jr., who remained by her side throughout a lifetime filled with devotion and shared memories. They were married in 1963, at San Elizario Mission. Her legacy lives through her children: Henry Ledesma III, Michael Xavier Ledesma, Melissa Diane Galvez (Richard), and Brenda Marie Dungan (John Jr.). Flora is survived by six siblings and preceded in death by her beloved parents, Eulalia and Cayetano Pulido, and siblings Jesus Pulido, and Francis Dominguez.
She dedicated herself to raising her four children as a homemaker, guiding them with love until their adult life. Later, continuing her work in sales and being a bus matron for a local school district. She retired and committed herself to taking care of her grandchildren. Where she filled their lives with her unconditional love and a smile that would light up a room.
Flora lived a life devoted to her faith, worshipping Our Lord, and Honoring Our Blessed Mother. She loved living and serving God. Flora was a life-long member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Serving alongside her husband for over 33 years, they spent countless hours praising our Lord in the Spanish church choir. Her presence brought comfort and warmth to everyone she knew. She was a living testament of God’s Love, volunteering for ‘Meals on Wheels’, hand-delivering food throughout central El Paso to the elderly and those in need.
Flora lived a life defined by love, strength, and generosity. Devoting herself whole-heartedly to her family and touching the lives of many with kindness, compassion, and a humble nature. Her presence brought comfort and warmth to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed, and her legacy will live through her loving family of four children, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at St. Stephen Deacon & Martyr Church, 1700 George Dieter Dr, El Paso, TX 79936. A Graveside Service will follow at 10:30 am at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
