Foch LaFitte,

Foch LaFitte, Sr. passed away on November 20, 2006 at home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness of more than eight years. He was born on September 20, 1918 to Ola and Sam LaFitte in Shelbyville, Texas. El Paso Natural Gas Co. brought him along with his family to El Paso in 1969. He enjoyed a career with the company for more than 30 years. He is survived by his loving wife of more than 60 years, Dorothy; his four children LaDona (Richard) Moore of Midland, TX, Foch LaFitte, Jr. of Midland, TX, Michelle (John) McDuffee of El Paso, TX, and John LaFitte of El Paso, TX; his three grandsons that he adored, Kevin Moore of Dallas, TX, Ryan Moore of Fort Worth, TX, and Ian McDuffee of El Paso, TX; a brother Harold (Melba) LaFitte of Austin, TX; a sister Marjorie Gay LaFitte Fisher of Houston, TX, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Rexta LaFitte and Sam LaFitte, Jr., and two sisters Erdell LaFitte Duncan and Lurline LaFitte. We would like to than Dr. Chesbro, Martha Boyle, La Mariposa Hospice, and his devoted caregiver Nellie Corona. We love you and miss you. The family will receive friends from 10 am to 12 noon, Friday, November 24, 2006, at Sunset Funeral Home-West prior to the service. A funeral mass will be held at 12:30 pm, Friday, November 24, 2006 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
