Frances Callery Flynn Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, Frances Callery Flynn passed away September 20, 2013. Long time El Paso resident, Frances Flynn, born in Spokane, Washington, moved to El Paso from Las Vegas, New Mexico in 1940 to join two of her six sisters. She soon married Otis Paul Flynn born in Crittenden, Kentucky . Her husband worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He predeceased her in 1954, dying just after the family moved to Denver, Colorado where they planned to begin a new home. Frances then returned to El Paso and began working with El Paso Natural Gas where she remained for twenty eight years. After a divorce, her son, Robert, moved in with his mother, and they enjoyed each other’s company for many years. They both enjoyed caring for their gardens, creating tiny havens of cool, green beauty in the desert. Frances took care of her sisters as they all predeceased her. Her joy in recent years was her warm connection with her daughter, her grand children, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She never failed to send a card for any of their important celebrations. She is survived by daughter Bernadette Flynn Low and her husband John of Baltimore, three grand children in Baltimore: Raissa Contreras, Jack Low, and Maggie Church. She is also survived by her son’s daughters, Kerri Flynn Chavez and Stephanie Blanco, four great grandchildren, and several special nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be Private.
