Francisco "Kiki" Javier Saenz

Francisco “Kiki” Javier Saenz, 62, entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 11, 2026. He was a wonderful son, brother, and uncle, and he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose C. Saenz Jr. and Guadalupe “Lupita” M. Gonzalez.

He is survived by his beloved sister, Paula Saenz-Ancheta, brother-in-law, Anaclato “Tony” Ancheta Jr., and his treasured niece and nephew, Anamaria “Sunshine” Ancheta and Anaclato “Trey” Ancheta III. In addition, his cousins, God-children, extended family members, and many friends will cherish and honor his memory.

Kiki was a volunteer firefighter with the Anthony Volunteer Fire Department from the early 1980s through the late 1990s. He was often featured in local news articles, from a school-bus rollover to chemical spills. He was frequently among the first to arrive on scene and would answer neighbors’ calls for help.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Sunset Funeral Homes–West. A Holy Mass will be held at 10:00 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 324 Lincoln Street, Anthony, New Mexico. Interment will follow at the Anthony Catholic Cemetery, N. 4th Street, Anthony, New Mexico
