Francisco O. Sanchez

May 11, 1945 — March 24, 2016

Francisco O. Sanchez passed away on 24, March 2016. He has joined his parents and youngest child, Carlos, in Heaven. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Maria Sanchez and children, Francisco Javier Sanchez and Soledad Elena Sanchez. He served honorably in the United States Army. Upon retiring from the Army, he became a Civil Servant for the Department of Defense. We remember him for his love of family, travel and adventure, ice cream, cartoons, baseball (a Yankees fan in Texas), and good music. He is remembered for always smiling, telling a funny joke, and passing around bottles of wine. Some of you, we hope, will remember him fondly yelling “Amarillo, Amarillo!” and dancing “El Venado” at family gatherings. No se preocupe, mis hijos. Esta sera una gran aventure. Don’t worry, my children. This will be a great adventure. Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive.
