Frankie "Frank" Orlando Martinez

Frankie “Frank” Orlando Martinez, 63, entered eternal rest on Monday, June 29, 2026. He was a wonderful son, brother, father, uncle, and grandfather, and will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his father, Orlando Martinez, his beloved son Frankie “Paco” Martinez, and his grandparents Ernestina and Willie Mier. He is survived by his loving mother, Rachel Martinez, and stepfather, Eusebio Sanchez; his siblings, Orlando Martinez Jr. (Sharlot), Richard Martinez (Janice), and Debra Monroy (Efrain); his grandson, Vince Martinez; and his nieces and nephew, Lenae, Natalie, and Jacob Yanez. He is also survived by many immediate and extended family members and friends to cherish and honor his memory.

Frank, known to many as “F.O.”, grew up In El Paso, where his love for horses quickly grew into a lifelong career as a successful racehorse jockey. He and his brothers, Richard and Orlando Jr., alongside their father Orlando, made many memories throughout their career. 

Frank was known to all as a strong and compassionate man. His quick wit, great sense of humor, and loving nature will be greatly missed.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Homes-West, with a Holy Rosary to commence at 6:00 pm.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 400 West Sunset, El Paso, Texas 79922.  Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 4900 McNutt Road, Santa Teresa, New Mexico, 88008.
