Gary L. Boggs, 72, passed away on Thursday, 10 July 2014. He is survived by his soul mate Tyra Dean; two sons, Michael Boggs and wife Susi (Germany) and Steven Boggs (PA); daughter, Annette Maria (Germany); two sisters, Nancy Johnson and Nicki Ann Willis; one brother, Dennis Boggs; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Gary retired after 23 years of service in the US Army Armor making rank of CSM. Gary works at Fort Bliss as an illustrator. He was very talented artist and became very active in El Paso’s art community. He was a Dosent at El Paso Museum of Art, a member of the El Paso Art Association, The Rio Bravo Watercolorists Association, and The El Paso Scale Model Society. He received his BFA in Graphic Design from UTEP and a degree in Commercial Art from EPCC. Gary was still a soldier at heart. He was loyal, honest and trustworthy and was good with timely decision making. He has great communication skills; integrity and candor (forget politics). Gary was a good guy to all that had the privilege to meet him. “We must march on.” Funeral Service: 9:30am on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
