Gilbert Emmanuel Jones III

Gilbert Emmanuel Jones III, 78, Sunrise July 27, 1943, to Sunset November 11, 2021 Gilbert was born in Detroit Michigan at Herman Keifer Hospital to Gilbert Jones Jr. and Edna Louise Bright. He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1961, and then left to serve his country proudly in the United States Army to include two tours of duty in Vietnam and duty stations in Germany, Texas, and South Carolina. After the Army, Gilbert III worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and technician at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital Trauma Unit and as a caregiver at Arnold Walter Nursing Home in Detroit Michigan. Upon retirement, he moved to Huntsville, Alabama where he lived until December 2019. He then moved to El Paso, TX to live near his former spouse and daughters and their families. Gilbert III is preceded in death by his parents Edna Louise and Gilbert Jr. He is survived by his former spouse Sylvia, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as well as thirteen siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on December 10, 2021 at 3:00pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with military honors. Reception to be held at the home of his daughter Dionne Siava following the service at 12057 Copper Head Lane, El Paso, TX 79934.
