In Loving Memory of Gloria Elmore

Gloria Elmore passed away July 7th, 2026 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born April 12, 1963 in Juarez Chihuahua, Mexico to Niceforo and Petronila Gonzalez. Gloria moved to El Paso, Texas, as a child, where she built a life filled with love, family, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Gloria was truly full of life—when she walked into a room, her presence would light it up. Her warmth, joyful spirit, and unforgettable personality made every moment spent with her special. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Lourdes Portillo. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sister Eva Cardenas, husband James Elmore of 40 years, her children, James Adrian, Eric Daniel (Jessica) and Tyana Alyss Elmore along with 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild along with many nieces and nephews. Gloria was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose beautiful spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Gloria loved life and embraced it with a full heart. She loved to travel, especially when her travels took her back to Chihuahua, Mexico, to visit the family she held so dear. She found joy in cooking for those she loved, singing her favorite songs, and dancing whenever the moment called for it. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. She shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, James, who held a treasured place in her heart and in the life they built together. She loved her children and grandchildren beyond measure, and her nieces and nephews also held an incredibly special place in her heart. Gloria’s love was generous, genuine, and felt deeply by everyone around her.

Gloria leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, strength, and beautiful memories that will live forever in the hearts of her family and friends. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the sound of her laughter, the warmth of her smile, the meals she lovingly prepared, the songs she sang, and the joy she brought wherever she went will never be forgotten. Gloria was the heart of her family, and her love for James and all those she held dear will continue to surround and guide those she leaves behind. She will forever be remembered, forever be loved, and forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew her.
