Gonzalo J. Salas

Gonzalo J. Salas, born January 10, 1927, passed away on February 19, 2016, at the age of 89. He served in U.S. Army during World War II and was active VFW member, involved in politics and helping with many church events. He is survived by his wife, Maria C. Salas, his daughters Juanita Salas, Alicia Salas, Josie Salas his son Gonzalo Salas, Jr. and his two grandchildren Christopher M. Salas and Natalie K. Salas and his two great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with Rosary at 7:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Mass will be held on Thursday at Our Lady of Sorrow at 1:00 pm at 7712 Rosedale St, followed by Interment at Ft Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors.
