Guadalupe Martinez

Guadalupe Martinez (Hernandez), born on September 20, 1921, in Pueblo, Colorado, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, in El Paso, Texas, at the age of 103.

A beloved matriarch and cherished member of her community, Guadalupe lived a long and meaningful life marked by devotion to her family and deep-rooted connections with those around her. She was the widow of Patricio Martinez, with whom she shared many years of marriage and built a strong family foundation.

Guadalupe is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Adelina Valenzuela, Maria Elena Stiles, Jesusita Morales, Elisa Lagunas, Herlinda Martinez; and her sons, Patricio Martinez and Roberto Martinez. Her legacy continues through her 21 grandchildren and numerous great /great-great-grandchildren who carry forward the values and traditions she held dear.

Throughout her life, Guadalupe was loved and respected by her friends and neighbors. Her presence brought warmth to those around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 7424 Mimosa. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson.
