Guadalupe Zubia

Guadalupe Zubia, age 94, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 08, 2023. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and will be dearly missed. Guadalupe is preceded in death by her parents; Cruz and Tomasa Carrasco, her son; Guadalupe Zubia, and her sister; Raquel Zubia. She is survived by her beloved husband; Francisco Zubia, her children; Raquel Zubia (Jose Olivas), Ruth Veloz (Jorge), Francisco Javier Zubia, Elizabeth Zubia, and David Zubia (Liliana), her siblings; Maria Cruz Franco, Eduardo Carrasco, Carmelo Carrasco, and Gerardo Carrasco, her grandchildren; Pamela Manicioto (Vito), Paulina Walters (Stephen), Natalie Meador (Charles), Liliana Espino (Alan), David Thomas Zubia, Esteban Zubia, Raquel Alicia Zubia, Christopher Zubia, Francisco “Boy” Zubia, Jaime Ezequiel Zubia, and Judith Zubia, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory.

Pallbearers include: David Thomas Zubia, Esteban Zubia, Christopher Zubia, Ezequiel Zubia, Bruce Zubia, Francisco Zubia, Jaime Zubia, and David Zubia.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, May 11, 2023 with a Holy Rosary to commence at 6:30pm at Sunset Funeral Homes-West. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Friday, May 11, 2023 at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church; 1885 McNutt Rd, Sunland Park, NM 88063. A Graveside Service will follow at 11:30am, at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery; 4900 McNutt Rd, Santa Teresa, NM 88008.
