Guillermo Bailon

January 12, 1954 — September 14, 2026

El Paso, Texas

Those left to cherish Guillermo’s memory include his children, Guillermo “Willie” Bailon, and Roberto “Bobby” Bailon (Deseree) and his two grandchildren, Izaiah and his mama’s Daphnee, who brought him immense joy. He also leaves behind eight devoted siblings, Benjamin Bailon (Maria De Jesus), Mary Gardner (Terry), Bertha Araiza (Antonio), Magdalena Calderon (Francisco), Teresa Flores (Javier), Alfredo Bailon (Dora), Louie Bailon and Catalina Saavedra (Leo) who will miss him dearly. He has been reunited in heaven with his beloved parents, Telesforo and Alicia Bailon, who preceded him in death. To know Guillermo was to know a man of immense warmth, a nurturer at heart with a great sense of humor. He could always make you laugh. But above all else, his greatest joy was his family. He was never happier than when he was simply surrounded by the people he loved, and his face lit up brightest in the presence of his cherished grandchildren, whom he adored tremendously.Guillermo also had a unique love language, making sure no one around him ever went unfed. Whether he was grilling, bringing home treats, or piling plates high, he took immense pride in being a caretaker who made sure everyone was cared for, nourished, and welcomed.Guillermo worked for many years as a local truck driver, working tirelessly to provide for his family. Outside of his regular work, he was also a skilled handyman and plumber, often taking on side jobs and putting his hands and knowledge to work wherever they were needed. He proudly followed in the footsteps of his father, Telesforo, who was a plumber and ran his own small business. Those skills and that strong work ethic stayed with Guillermo throughout his life, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand.He is survived by his loving family, his treasured grandchildren, and a community of friends and relatives whose lives and stomachs were forever warmed by his generous spirit.
