Harvey Franklin Russ

MSG Harvey F. Russ was born on May 04, 1937 to Ruben and Louise Russ and grew up in Tatum, Tx. He married Yung Hui Park in 1962. He retired from the United States Army in 1979 after 29 years of distinguished service. He received many awards including National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, with 3 Bronze Star, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal Korea, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation. He is survived by his wife Yung Hui, sons Dwight and Chris; sisters Jeannie and Connie, Ruby Simpson, Altha Reynolds and his brother Keith Chaffin. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday, November, 25, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Service will begin at 12:00pm on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive. Committal Service to follow at 2:00pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with full Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
