Hazel M. Matthews

Hazel M. Matthews, age 87, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. She was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and will be greatly missed. Hazel is preceded in death by her loving parents; George and Ruth Long, and her husband; Carl O’neal Matthews. She is survived by her children; Gary Matthews, and Karen Scott, her brother; Gene Long, her grandchildren; Christopher Scott, and David Matthews, as well as her great-grandchildren; Charlotte Scott, Pipper Matthews, and Christopher Scott Jr. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 5:00PM to 6:00PM, with a Prayer Service to follow from 6:00PM to 7:00PM, and refreshments and memories from 7:00PM to 8:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West.
