Henrietta Anne Effenberger entered into eternal life on February 18, 2026. Henrietta Anne Vesely was born in Shiner, Texas to parents Annie Josephine Hundl and Jacob J. Vesely on March 28, 1934. She graduated valedictorian of her class at St. Ludmila’s Academy in Shiner, Texas. After working as a nursing assistant in a doctor’s office, Henrietta Anne attended business school and obtained her associates degree. A devoted Catholic, Henrietta Anne joined the Catholic Daughters of America and was a member for 73 years. Marrying the love of her life, Leo Travis Effenberger, at Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner, Texas in 1958, Leo and Anne cherished 66 years together and raised four children. Anne worked alongside her beloved husband as an accountant for the family-owned business for 24 years. Henrietta Anne was preceded in death by her three older brothers Adolf Vesely; Laddie Vesely; and William Vesely; son Timothy Leo Effenberger; and dear husband Leo Travis Effenberger. She is survived by her daughter Christine Anne Fogel; son Paul Patrick Effenberger; and daughter Laura Elizabeth Linggi. Henrietta Anne is blessed with twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home located at 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso, TX 79904 on Monday March 2, 2026, from 5-8 p.m. with the Rosary at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church located at 9025 Diana Drive, El Paso, TX on Tuesday March 3, 2026, at 12 p.m. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
