Hildegard Ulrike Smith

Hildegard Ulrike Smith “Hilde,” beloved daughter of Ulrich and Herta Lang, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, at 70 years of age. She was born on February 20, 1955, in Germany and was the youngest of three siblings: Hannelorde Lang, Helmut Lang, and Herbert Lang.

Hilde lived a life marked by strength, warmth, and generosity. She was a devoted wife to Marcus Sharone Smith and a loving mother to her two children, first-born Dominique Marcel Smith and her daughter Nadia Denee Smith. Her greatest pride and joy were her three grandchildren, from youngest to oldest: Jason-Dominique Alexander Smith-Bean, Isaiah Betancourt, and Jeremy Manuel Betancourt.

Known for her humility and boundless heart, Hilde was not only a friend but a mentor to many. She guided others with honesty, kindness, and a courageous voice that spoke wisdom when it was needed most. Her presence brought comfort, and her cooking, laughter, and companionship created memories that will forever live in the hearts of all who knew her.
