Beltran Del Rio, Homero was born on December 22, 1930. He passed away on May 22nd 2016 after a fifteen year battle with Parkinson’s and passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home. He was born in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Enrique Beltran Del Rio and Amalia Sandoval. Homero moved to Juarez Mexico at a young age and later met who would become his wife Maria Loretto Munoz. He is survived by his six children, Jessie Martinez (Willie), Elva Ulloa (David), Homero, Jr. (Theresa), Daniel, David, and Laura Hauck (Danny), 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 sister, and 4 brothers. He played semi pro basketball in Mexico at a young age and was an avid UTEP Miner fan. Homero was a proud Veteran and served in the US Army. He attended school in Okmulgee, OK where he became an electrician. He worked as an electrician in ASARCO for many years where he later retired. He enjoyed and had a love of school, reading and learning new trades such as refrigeration and electronics. Homero had a lust for life and enjoyed dancing and listening to music. It was his outgoing spirit and soft spoken nature that made him such a joy to be around. Visitation: 5:00PM-9:00PM with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00PM Thursday May 26, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast on Hondo Pass. Funeral Mass will be at 12:00PM Friday, May 27, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal Service will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 1:30PM.
