Huey Peter Brown

Huey P. Brown, 90, of El Paso, Tx passed away on Friday 11/25/2022 surrounded by his family. He served 20 years in the US Army, serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.  He received the Bronze Star for exemplary professionalism and initiative in obtaining outstanding results. Under his leadership, his unit didn’t lose a single soldier in battle during the Vietnam War. He was Deacon and long-time member of Shiloh Baptist Church.  He is survived by his loving wife, Jeraline Brown. He also leaves behind all seven of his children: LaLeanera Neal Brown (Deborah), Gordon S. Brown, Erica J. Sourina (Alan), Tracy L. Long (Christopher), Richard W. Brown, James E. Brown, Michael P. Brown (Chanti’). He has 4 living siblings, 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild on the way. Deacon Brown was a proud and loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather.  He always enjoyed being a part of the lives of his grandchildren. He loved the Lord and serving him in many different ministries and committees at Shiloh Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, with Prayer Service at 6:00 PM, on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Service will take place 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3201 Frutas. Committal Service will follow at 1:30 PM, at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
