Ira Batt

Ira Batt, “The Battman”, age 94, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 26, 2025 in El Paso, Texas. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, grandfather, friend and will be dearly missed. He was a realtor for over 40 years and he only had one wish -that everyone would share his compassion for helping and contribute to the future of El Paso. Ira is preceded in death by his parents Gussie and Jacob Batt and his son Randy Batt.

He is survived by his wife: Irene Batt, his children: Sherry and Dennis Batt, grandchildren: Casey and Corey Jensen and cousin Sylvia Cohen. He is also survived by many extended friends and family to honor his memory as the cheerful and friendly gentleman who’d greet everyone with his special “Battman” handshake.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Temple Mt. Sinai, 4408 N. Stanton St. with a Graveside Service to follow at 2:00pm at Mt. Sinai Cemetery 3911 Gateway West Blvd.

Services are entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-West, 480 N. Resler Dr.
