Irene L. Gorner

Irene L. Gorner, age 94, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 09, 2023. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; and will be greatly missed. Irene is preceded in death by her dearest parents; Mauricio Lara and Antonia Saenz; her brothers; Mauricio Lara, Fernando Lara and Daniel Lara; and her sister; Guadalupe Hurtado. She is survived by her loving children; Belinda Quinones and Edward Gorner (Dala); her siblings; Antonia Nieto, Carmen Henry, Cecilia Lara and Raymond Lara; her grandchildren; Cesar Quinones, Christopher Quinones, Yvonne Quinonez, Clarissa Quinones (Phillip), Charles Quinones and Ed Gorner; and her great-grandchildren; Lawrence Quinones, Isabella Quinones, Aidan Thompson,Elisabeth Thompson, John Kolstad and Justin Kolstad and great-great grandchild Avery Kolstad. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home- West with a Rosary to follow at 6:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 10:30 am at St. Patrick Cathedral, 1118 N. Mesa St., El Paso, Texas 79912.
