James H. Cooke,

James H. Cooke, Jr., 85, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2007. A veteran of World War II, Mr. Cooke later retired from a professional career with the VA in New York. He moved to El Paso in 1996 after the death of his wife, Margie Cooke. Also preceded in death by his parents, James H. and Sallie D. Cooke; his brother, John D. Cooke; and, his brother-in-law, Charles Pratt, Jr., Mr. Cooke’s intelligence and wry wit will be missed by family and friends. Survived by sisters, Carolyn C. Pratt of El Paso and Charlotte L. Cooke of New York; nieces, Gwen Pratt and Sue N. Pratt of El Paso; nephew, Charles Pratt III (Chela) of Phoenix; and great-nieces and great-nephew, Cassandra, Carolyne, Amanda, Charles IV, Paola, Devan, Alyssa, and Sophia. Rest in peace…evermore.
