Javier Gomez Jr.

On April 25, 1971, Javier was born to Javier Medina Gomez and Maria Garay, becoming their firstborn child and the eldest of four siblings. From the very beginning, he held a special place in his family, beginning a life that would be marked by love, cherished memories, and the lasting impact he would leave on those who knew him.

Javier met the love of his life, Katherine, in high school in 1986. From the moment they met, they shared a special connection, a love-at-first-sight kind of love that blossomed into a beautiful, lifelong relationship. They married in 1995, and from that day forward, they were inseparable, sharing a deep and unwavering love for one another. Their love story grew, blessed with two beloved sons who completed their family.

Javier supported his family by dedicating over 25 years of his life to the manufacturing industry, always giving more than 100% to everything he did. Throughout his years of employment, he built lasting friendships and meaningful relationships with his coworkers. His hard work, dedication, and commitment did not go unnoticed, as he received numerous awards in recognition of his outstanding service and contributions.

Aside from his career, Javier dedicated his life to being a faithful servant of God and serving others in his community. For over 20 years, he volunteered with the Village of Vinton, generously giving his time and efforts to help improve the community he cared so deeply about. His unwavering faith and commitment to serving others were a reflection of his kind heart and the lasting impact he made on those around him.

Javier Gomez Jr., 55, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 12, 2026. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Javier will be greatly missed. He is survived by his parents: Javier Medina Gomez and Maria Garay, his beloved wife of 31 years: Katherine June Gomez, his sons: Alex Joseph Gomez and Andrew Michael Gomez, his siblings: David Gomez (Elena), Oscar Gomez (Linda), Aaron Gomez (Martha), and Maria Cardona (Ruben), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends to cherish and honor his memory.

His Memorial Visitation will be held from 10:30 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Abundant Church - West Campus, 7100 N. Desert Blvd, El Paso, TX 79912, with a Celebration of Life to commence at 11:00 am.
