Jean G. Porter

Jean G. Porter passed away peacefully at home on Friday night, 2/23/2007, with her loved ones at her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 yrs. Carter C. Porter and her infant daughter Stella Jean. Jean was born in Columbia, SC where she & Carter were wed. They enjoyed Air Force life which eventually brought them to El Paso where they retired in 1963. Jean is survived by her children Lee (Marjorie) Porter of Placitas, N.M., Elena (Steve) Wilson of Arkansas, Patrick Porter of El Paso and Carlie (Darron) Saunders of El Paso, 9 grandchildren: Cari Castillo, Traci Cook, Casey Porter, Felicia Porter, Piper Porter, Dylan Saunders, Jenna Saunders, Jennifer Ritter and Matt Boller; 6 great grandchildren; her beloved sister-in-law Mavis George of Irmo, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private services were held with interment at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the animal charity of your choice in memory of her Beloved companion dog, Rico.
