Jerry Lynn Henson

Jerry Lynn Henson, age 73, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 in El Paso, Texas. He was a resident of Ruidoso, New Mexico. He was a wonderful companion, father, son, brother and pawpaw and will be forever missed. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; C.C. Henson and Nadine (Vickrey) Henson. He is survived by the mother of his beloved daughters; Becky L. Henson, his daughters; Angeca L. Sparger and Lindsey L. Ketchum, and son-in-law; Ryan R. Ketchum. He is also survived by his granddaughters; Tatum Leigh Williams, Everly G. Ketchum and Layne R. Ketchum, his brothers; Ricky E. Henson (Brenda) and Gregory K. Henson (Anita) as well as many extended family, friends, and fellow horsemen to honor and cherish his memory. He leaves behind a valiant legacy as a United States Army Veteran and was a retired USPS worker. Everyone who knew Jerry, knew he was a kind and giving man, who needed few material things in life. Although he was a man of few words, his words always carried wisdom that stuck with you. He was a very respected horseman, often called “Hawkeye” because he saw details that other horsemen would miss. He enjoyed his retirement, spending time with his family and being back in Ruidoso, NM. A private family memorial is to be held to celebrate his life.
