Jesus A. Flores, “Pichirilo”, age 80, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 6, 2025, in Vado, New Mexico. He was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, supportive brother, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and a dear friend to many. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
Jesus was born with a generous spirit, a hard-working nature, and a quick-witted sense of humor. He had an infectious laugh and a heart big enough to hold a large and ever-growing family. He enjoyed simple pleasures—music, storytelling, helping others, and sharing meals surrounded by family. His home was always open, his advice always steady, and his love always unconditional. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, tenacity, and strong family values that will continue to inspire generations.
Jesus is preceded in death by his parents: Alfonso and Genoveva Flores; his children: Alfonso Flores and Elizabeth Hernandez; and his sisters: Yolanda Nuñez and Elvia Flores. He is survived by his wife of many years, Maria De Jesus Flores; his children: Margot Jimenez, Rene Flores, Federico Flores, Genoveva De La Rosa, Coral Flores, and Eduardo Flores; his siblings: Juan Jose Flores, Maria De Jesus Yepez, and Jose Guadalupe Flores; 29 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many extended friends and family who will continue to cherish and honor his memory.
