Jesus Muñoz, 75, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2007. He was a longtime resident of El Paso and a member of the Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army to include service during the Korean conflict. After his military career, he was employed with U.S. Civil Service Immigration Department where he retired with 38 years of service. Upon his retirement from civil service, he took employment as a Security Guard with Loretto Academy from 1992-2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo and Sostenes Muñoz, and daughter, Valerie Muñoz. He is survived by his wife, Martha Muñoz; Son; David (Patricia) Muñoz; Daughters; Sylvia (Raymond, Sr.) Caro and Kathy (Daniel) Villa. 11 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. Brother; Joe Muñoz. Sister; Anita Trejo. Visitation will be from 4:00-9:00 pm, Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas with Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:15 a.m., Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Old Mission) Catholic Church. Honorary Pallbearer; Joseph Villa. Pallbearers; David Muñoz, Jr., Raymond Caro, Jr., Daniel Muñoz, Derich Muñoz, David Arranda and Christopher Arranda. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes - Americas.
