Jesus Miguel Staufert, entered the gates of his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 07, 2019. He was born June 04, 1937 and proudly served in the United States Army, and continued to serve his country by working in the Civil Service beginning at the Twin Towers in New York City, and then moving to west Texas with work contributions at White Sands Missile Range, Fort Bliss, and finally Beaumont Army Medical Center. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and will be missed dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents Guillermo Staufert and Aurora Staufert de Perez, brother, Guillermo Staufert Jr. and beloved son, Hector Staufert. He leaves behind his loving wife Carmen Rojas Staufert, his beloved sons Jesus Miguel Staufert Jr., Robert Staufert and wife Martha Rodriguez-Staufert, two loving grandchildren, Alanis and Nadia Staufert, and his wonderful nieces and nephews; Guillermo Alberto Staufert III, Jesus Ricardo Staufert, Maria del Carmen Staufert de Branch, Maria Antonietta Staufert de Fonseca, Jose Luis Staufert, Rosana Staufert, Hector Arturo Caballero, and Gerardo Caballero. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive. Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00pm on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama Street. Committal Service to follow at 2:30pm at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
