Jesusita (Jessie) Alarcon

Jesusita (Jessie)Alarcon, 72, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 28, 2015. Anyone who knew Jessie, knew her as a fun, loving, and adventurous Nana to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jessie was born in El Paso, TX. on February 5, 1943. She attended Jefferson High School and later married the love of her life, Arturo, in 1965. Jessie was a lifelong homemaker, and devoted Catholic, staying home and caring for her 4 children. She enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, margaritas, and spending time with her 10 grandkids and 4 great grandkids. Jessie leaves behind her husband of 50 years, Arturo Alarcon, Sr., son Arturo Jr., and daughters Irma Cortez, Irene Smith and Denise Gonzalez, Grandkids; Amanda, April, Aaron, Cassandra, Purple, Angel, Joshua, Kaydey, Amber and Izak, great grandkids: Les, Adin, Amri and AJ, Sisters: Josefina Castaneda, Maria Luisa Perez and Beatrice Ruelas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Maria De La Rosa and her sister Eva Alarcon and brother Manuel Jr. Viewing/Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2nd, 2015 from 4:00-9:00 pm with Vigil/Rosary at 7:30 pm at Sunset Funeral Homes-East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, Juy 3rd at 1:30 pm at San Antonio Catholic Church. Interment: Private. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-East.
