John Richard Nelson

John Richard Nelson, 72, born in Anchorage, Alaska on January 4, 1949 and resided in Palmer, Alaska through his youth. John was a veteran of the Viet Nam War and it was there that his mental illness surfaced. John fought this problem for the rest of his life. John was a long time resident of El Paso and a member of Park Hills Christian church. John’s father Robert Emil Nelson, mother Margaret Nelson, and brother Stephen Robert Nelson preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister-in-law Alice Nelson and 10 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Park Hills Christian Church, 5701 Alabama, on Monday, December 6, 11:30 am followed by Interment at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
