Jose G. Castro

Jose G. Castro, age 91, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 17, 2022 in El Paso, Texas. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and will be greatly missed. Jose is preceded in death by his parents; Pablo Castro and Virginia Alferez de Castro, his wife; Margarita Burciaga de Castro, and his siblings; Luz Mora-Castro, Benjamin Castro, Jesus Castro, Antonio Castro, Salvador Castro, Carmen Castro, and Ezequiel Castro. He is survived by his siblings; Juan Castro and Rosa Carabeo, his children; Maria Dolores Czichowsky (Matthias), Sara Ramirez, Jose Castro, Jr., Blanca Pequeno, Ana Laura Cooksey (Alan), Maria Luisa Longoria (Rolando), Pablo Castro (Sonia), his grandchildren; Veronica Czichowsky, Edgar Ramirez, Eric Ramirez (Tanya), Ayla Pequeno, and Jacob Cooksey, as well as his great-grandchildren; Janessa Ramirez, Larissa Ramirez, Orion Ramirez, and Elysium Ramirez. He is also survived by many extended friends and family to cherish and honor his memory.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home-West with a Rosary at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 10:00am, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2709 Alabama St, El Paso, TX 79930. A Graveside Service will follow at 11:30am, at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906.
